Lost in London

Updated: Sep 11, 2019

Hello you all, long time no see!

I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to put on these pictures earlier, I have been very busy lately (or just forgot the whole thing)! But long story short we went to London two weeks ago with my super amazing friends, who I’m going to introduce to you later, don’t worry. We had fun and I’m going to go back there soon as possible, I fell in love!

But instead of writing a long text of how amazing trip we had, I’m just gonna write down 3 do’s and 3 don’ts. Maybe those who are planning a trip there, will do better than we did!

DO’S

1. Make a plan

You don’t have to write every minute, but at least know what you want to do and in which order. Also write down your lunch and snack breaks that you won’t be hangry (those who don’t know like my mom and dad, hangry= hungry and angry).

2. Take time to get lost

Don’t expect everything to work out as you planned, sometimes there might be a huge random protest in the middle of the London and you’ll be late (this happened to us). Also look at the bright side- don’t plan everything too carefully, you can find something better if you just walk around without destination.

3. Be prepared to use more money than usually

London is a big city. You know that. Everything is more expensive. Makes sense. I used a lot of money for all those things we did, you can try to travel with small budget but let’s be realistic, everything’s gonna cost more anyway. For example if you want to visit THE BEST club in the UK called Fabric, you just have to pay that £25 entry fee. It’s worth it.

DON’TS

1. Don’t book that cheapest Airbnb

Trust me. If you want to have that warm water in the shower and want to sleep in an actual bed, you better have a bigger budget. On the other hand if you don’t care, you’ll be fine. But at least know how to use public transportation that you don’t have to take an Uber to get everywhere because you're so far from everything.

2. Don’t take a bus to get to London

We travelled 8 hours in a Megabus from Newcastle to London and also back. It was a nightmare. I could write a whole new post about how that bus ride made me feel, but I’m just gonna be fine with this: no proper air conditioning, bad to sit, can’t sleep, not enough space and too hot all the time. This one is a big don’t.

3. Two days is not going to be enough

Believe me, you are only going to see 1% of the London in two days. Take more days to see more and like I said earlier, don’t be afraid to get lost.

See you in next one!
