Let’s just begin with this one: when they say it’s a university city- it for sure is. And for all of those who don’t know: University of Oxford is the oldest English-speaking university in the world. All the university buildings represent that history, intelligence and style which this city keeps inside. The city is known as the "City of Dreaming Spires", because of the stunning architecture of these buildings. The university area is small enough to walk through, but you better put your good shoes on just in case.
Here’s a list of spots I had time to visit:
1. Oxford University of Natural History
My absolute favourite place in here! I think that the all the inventions in history of this city culminates into this building. It is a collection old and new, animals and humans, things and experiences. I spent 2 hours in there and I can honestly say that I learned something!

2. Radcliffe Observatory
In the middle of the University area, observatory is one landmark to remember. To be honest I just walked past and took the picture, since the city is so full of beautiful architecture everywhere.

3. All the colleges
I think I visited 4 or 5 colleges in total, they all looked almost the same and had the similar big green area in the middle of the buildings, but I wouldn’t complain if I had to study in those colleges every day (in fact that was a big dream of mine when I was 12, and that was the actual reason I even wanted to visit the city today).

4. Botanic Gardens and University parks
I accidently visited both places at the same time which I’m satisfied about. I really do hope that there should be similar parks in every university area, so students could just go sit on the grass and be inspired by nature but still be in uni. I also made friends with the ducks in the park, which definitely made my day!

5. All the Harry Potter/ University shops
The city is full of University of Oxford hoodies and t-shirts and many shops that celebrate our loved wizard boy Harry Potter. I have visited in so many shops since I came in UK, that I’m getting BORED- can you believe it!

My first thought when I arrived in this morning was that “This city really is full of history”, but I didn’t know that it would be this amazing. This definitely is one of the most interesting cities I’ve visited and I’m honestly jealous for all those students who can call this city their home. I highly recommend everyone to come and visit this place at least once, it really is worth it! One day is good enough tho, my legs are dying and I’m so ready to go back to home!
See you soon!
